A longtime resident of Santa Barbara, Brett Grimes holds a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Over the past 30 years, he has held senior executive positions with several different major financial institutions in the greater Santa Barbara area. Barron’s ranked Brett Grimes on its list of the “Top 100 Advisors in California” for 2015 and 2016.

Active in both the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas, Brett Grimes has been a member of the Southern California Grantmakers and sat on the board of directors for the Los Angeles Dream Center. The Dream Center is dedicated to combating homelessness and hunger within vulnerable populations. It also provides local residents with clothing, food and shelter as well as education during the Covid Pandemic.

When he isn’t busy with professional or philanthropic activities, Mr. Grimes enjoys snow skiing, horseback riding, and following Notre Dame football. He enjoys Pilates and attends classes on a regular basis.
